Picnics have always been favorite ways to spend a day in nature with your friends and families. You choose a place in nature, usually on a large green field, prepare lots of food and snacks, such as sandwiches, orange juice, cakes, and cupcakes, you pick a blanket and go with your friends and family to enjoy a day. However, a picnic needs more than just food, juice and a blanket. In order for a picnic to be fun, there need to be some entertaining activities which will make the day special and much more fun. For that reason, in the following paragraphs, we will try to present five fun games for you to play on a picnic.
PICTURE SCAVENGER QUEST
What is a Picture Scavenger Quest and why is it so fun to play? This is a good game for both children and adults. Use a camera or a camera on your cell phone for this game. One day before you are planning the picnic, get some cards ready with an agenda of things for the game. These things have to be found by the participants. Anything can be on the list, from seed types, leaves, and others. Next, you need to plan the scavenger quest. Then prepare prizes for those who manage to find all the things on the list. This is a perfect game for your whole family!
TOILET PAPER CHASE
Toilet Paper Chase is a great game for kids. You divide your children into groups with the same number of players. If there is an adult, find a volunteer. Try to organize the players to stand by their height with their opponents. The race starts with the first people on both teams to wrap toilet paper around his or her leg and the leg of the child standing to his right. The second child on the team tries to wrap the paper around the leg and the leg of the child standing to his right without breaking the paper. The wrapping continues until the paper is broken. The first ones who manage to tie their legs without breaking the paper are the winners.
DANK SPONGE RELAY CHASE GAME
This game requires a sponge, a very big sponge to be precise. It requires a jar and a bucket full of water as well. Each team should get a sponge, a jar and a bucket of water. There need to be at least four children in a team who are of similar height. The game starts with the first child in the team dunking the sponge into the bucket and passing it above his or her head to the person standing behind. This continues until the sponge arrives at the last child who puts the water into a jar. Now the last player runs to dunk the sponge into the bucket again and passes it over his or her head. When the water in the jar is full the game is over. Those who fill the jar first win.
PARACHUTE GAME
This game is very simple and fun and it is suitable for people of all ages. You cannot win or lose in this game. The equipment you need is a parachute and objects which are not heavy such as balls or foam balls. Players sit and listen to the leader of the group. They need to hold on the parachute and do what they are instructed to do.
